What does this job entail?

KBC Securities (KBCS) is active as investment bank within KBC Group. In this role, we offer total solutions to corporate and institutional clients within an international context.
Currently, our product offering includes a fascinating range of activities such as:
1. Equities: our stock market activities (Equity Research, Sales & Trading)
2. Strategic advice and guidance for mergers and acquisitions
3. Structured debt financing
4. Establishing and managing specialised investment funds.

As Institutional Equity Sales officer you will be part of the KBCS Equities team and your primary focus will be Belgian and Dutch shares. You will be the contact person providing services to large international asset managers, where your initial focus will be on France and the United Kingdom.

What do we expect from you?

• As Institutional Equity Sales officer you will be in close contact with the large international share investors. You will provide personal service and support to these investors, helping them make investment decisions for their share portfolio. You will share new ideas, research notes, interesting events, and so on.
• Your work will involve strategic matchmaking between investors and companies. You will help seek out investors willing to invest in IPOs, capital placements and raising capital through rights issues for listed companies. This will give you unique opportunities to closely follow interactions between shareholders and C-level executives.
• Besides maintaining existing relationships in your region, you will regularly approach prospects to win new customers and expand the contact base.
• By interacting with your colleagues in equity sales trading and equity research, you will continue to learn more about companies and keep abreast with stock market news.

Votre profil :

• You have a university degree in Finance, Economics or a similar discipline.
• You are commercial and customer-focused. Thanks to your social and interpersonal skills, you enjoy developing an internal and external network.
• You are immune to stress and can cope with tight deadlines.
• You are flexible and are open to (rapidly) changing priorities.
• You communicate convincingly in French and can hold everyday conversations in English and Dutch.
• You have a ‘learning attitude’: you cope well with constructive feedback and you are willing to continue learning. The economy and the stock market fascinate you and you are willing to deepen your knowledge even further.
• You have several years (2-5) experience in the financial world so you can interpret market changes and financial data quickly and correctly.
